Our Three Phases of Care
Understanding your path to health is an important part of the healing process. Most patients move through three distinct phases of care, each designed to help you not only feel better but stay better.
- Releasing muscle tension
- Improving blood flow to targeted areas
- Encouraging muscles to relax and reset
- Supporting improved range of motion
Phase 1: Relief Care
Prioritizing Your Comfort
Many patients first visit a chiropractor because they are experiencing discomfort. In this initial phase, our primary goal is to reduce your symptoms and provide much-needed relief as quickly as possible. To achieve this, your care plan may involve frequent visits—sometimes daily or two to three times per week—for a short period.
It is important to remember that pain is often a poor indicator of overall health. Much like a cavity or heart disease, spinal issues often develop long before they actually hurt. Conversely, when you begin chiropractic care, pain is usually the first symptom to disappear, even if the underlying cause hasn't fully resolved. Our goal in Phase 1 is to get you past the finish line of pain so we can begin the real work of healing.
Phase 2: Corrective Care
Building a Strong Foundation
Eliminating pain is often the easiest part of chiropractic care. However, if treatment stops as soon as the pain vanishes, there is a much higher chance of the condition returning. To prevent a relapse and ensure lasting results, it is vital to continue care even after you start feeling great.

During the Corrective and Restorative Phase, your visits will become less frequent. Depending on your specific needs, we may introduce specialized exercises and stretches—either here at the office or for you to do at home—to accelerate your recovery.
Please don't be discouraged if you experience occasional mild flare-ups; this is a normal part of the healing process as your body continues to stabilize. Depending on how long you’ve had your condition, this phase may last anywhere from a few months to longer, ensuring your body is truly mending from the inside out.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Investing in Your Future
Once your body has fully healed, routine chiropractic care becomes a proactive tool for healthy living. Much like maintaining a balanced diet or a consistent exercise routine, regular "tune-ups" help ensure that old problems don't return and that your body remains in peak condition.
When you make wellness care a part of your lifestyle, you can:
- Prevent the common aches and pains that many people simply "live with."
- Preserve the health and longevity of your joints.
- Engage more fully in the hobbies and activities you love.
Maintenance is the key to ensuring your musculoskeletal system supports you for years to come.
